POSTPONED! - DRIE WEST - Disaster Mythology Presentation

DRIE WEST - Disaster Mythology Presentation

Please join Grayson Cockett, Host, Emergency Preparedness in Canada (EPIC) Podcast for a discussion around disaster myths.

Description:

Disaster mythology continues to hinder preparedness and community resilience in some very real and harmful ways. From the century old fairy-tale of 'mass panic', to the still popular myth of 'victim helplessness', disaster dollars and preparedness efforts are still being spent to combat problems that simply don't exist. Are your plans based on fact? Or have you been contributing to the 'disaster fiction' section? Come and find out!
