DRIE WEST - Third Party Risk and Resilience Presentation
Please join Sarah Vakil, Manager, Risk Assurance Services, PwC for a presentation exploring issues in third party risk and strengthening third party resilience
Description: In today’s increasingly interconnected business environment, third party partnerships offer organizations greater agility by reducing service time, enhancing customer experience, or lowering costs. Organizations benefit from the ability to outsource services or functions, however, leadership continues to be responsible for ensuring continuity of business operations, regardless of whether the function is supported in-house or through a third party provider. As a result, organizations using third party providers are facing increasing risk should an event occur that impacts the third party’s ability to adequately fulfill its contractual obligations.
This presentation will explore risks posed by third parties and consider ways to transform risk into opportunities to build resilience and competitive advantage. With effective business continuity planning and exercising, an organization should not only be able to recover from interruption in third party services, but also demonstrate the ability to mitigate third party risk and resume business operations regardless of whether the service is outsourced or performed in-house.
