Chuck Russell will share his conference presentation to the Regional Healthcare Preparedness Coalition in Galveston, TX at the end of 2019 titled, “Delivering Business Continuity Value Beyond Compliance.” Most of the lessons are relevant to all industry practitioners, especially those that must push back against the perspective that business continuity planning is a “check the box exercise” to meet some internal requirement or external regulation.

Presenter Bo:
Chuck Russell is a certified business continuity professional (CBCP) through the disaster recovery institute (DRI) and has been helping companies sustain operations and grow their resilience since 2006. Clients and employers span petroleum production, oilfield services, learning and development, pipeline, healthcare and managed care organizations. Since mid 2020 he has been driving the business continuity planning efforts at TC Energy. He has published with the Society of Petroleum Engineers; SPE 106920, Natural Disaster Preparedness; Best Practices, 2007 and presented in numerous forums but most recently to the Southeast Texas Regional Preparedness Coalition Conference, Oct. 2019, “Delivering Business Continuity Value Beyond Compliance” and South Texas Chapter of the Association of Continuity Planners, Aug. 2017, “Metrics that Matter for Continuity Planning.” Chuck has BS in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and his MBA from University of Texas at Austin. He is currently the programs director for the South Texas Chapter of the Association of Continuity Planners.
