DRIE WEST Networking and Learning Event


Please join Christina Caffrey from the Calgary Emergency Management Agency for a tour of the Emergency Operations Centre and discussion with the CEMA Business Continuity Team



Members will be given a 20-minute tour of the Calgary EOC facility followed by a Q&A discussion with the CEMA Business Continuity Team on actions performed and plans for City citizens, businesses as well as internal organizational partners.


Date:  September 22, 2017

Location: City of Calgary Emergency Operations Centre, 673 1 St. NE, Calgary (near the Rotary Park). From Centre St. N, turn east to 7th Ave. NE and turn south to 1st Ave. NE.


Time: 8:30 – 8:45 AM Assembly and Check-In at Security Desk | 8:45 – 9:15 AM Tour led by Christina Caffrey, CEMA Executive Advisor | 9:15 – 10 AM Discussion/Q&A with Business Continuity and Refreshments in the media Work Room


Cost: There is no charge to members of the DRIE WEST Chapter.   Non-Members will be charged $25.00 for the event. 

2017 DRIE West Memberships and renewals will be available at the door at a cost of $50.00 for the year.

Presenter Bio:

Christina Caffrey works for The City of Calgary, Calgary Emergency Management Agency (CEMA), as the Executive Advisor to Chief Tom Sampson and Deputy Chief Sue Henry. She has been involved in several major events in Alberta including 2016 Fort McMurray Wildfires, 2014 Calgary underground fire, 2014 Calgary Snowtember event, 2013 southern Alberta floods and 2011 Slave Lake wildfires. She is also a member of the provincial all hazards disaster response team Canada Task Force 2 as the Type 2 Incident Management Team Liaison Officer.

Christina holds a Master of Arts degree in Disaster and Emergency Management, an undergraduate degree in International Development, designation as an Associate Business Continuity Professional and is an Incident Command System instructor.
